Drag-hosted Halloween sip and paint session where a drag queen guides the group through painting a canvas, with drinks from the bar.
Boozy Brushes are bringing their drag-hosted sip and paint party to Le Monde Hotel on Saturday 31 October, just in time for Halloween. It's called Witch, Please!, and it's part of their wider drag series, so instead of a standard art class, you've got a drag queen leading the way. They'll guide the group through the painting step by step and keep things lively along the way, so you're as much there for the performance as you are for the canvas.
One of the best bits is that you don't need to bring a thing. All the kit is provided — canvas, easel, brushes, paint and an apron — so you can just turn up and get stuck in. Drinks are available from the bar, and the whole thing is pitched as a beginner-friendly way to unwind, explore your creative potential and socialise. The organisers put it simply: art isn't restricted to any particular type of person, and picking up a new skill can be light-hearted, fun and therapeutic. You take home your own masterpiece at the end, and there are prizes up for grabs too.

It's a two-hour session, running from 1 pm to 3 pm on Halloween day, so it works as a daytime thing rather than a late one. The organisers suggest arriving ten minutes before the class begins, and tickets start from £25.63. You'll find it at Le Monde Hotel, 16 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PF.
