Relaxed weekly Thursday session of songs, rhymes and stories in English and Gaelic for children under five and their grown-ups.
Bookbug runs every Thursday at the National Library of Scotland, on George IV Bridge in the city centre. It's a relaxed session of songs, rhymes and stories for children aged five and under and their grown-ups, and it's held in the Rain exhibition space. Older siblings are welcome too, provided all children are accompanied by an adult throughout.
The whole thing is built around giving parents and carers more confidence sharing stories, rhymes and songs with their little ones, so it's as much for the adults as it is for the kids. The sessions are delivered in dual language, in English and Gaelic, and the wider programme is run through the Scottish Book Trust. If you're looking for something specific, there's a Gaelic Bookbug workshop on Thursday 12 November, from 10:30am to 11:00am.
