Stand-up show 'A Bit Scared' by Blake Pavey, touring the UK, at The Stand Comedy Club, over-18s only.
Blake Pavey brings his new stand-up hour, A Bit Scared, to The Stand Comedy Club on Sunday 18 October. He's touring the UK with it, and this is the Edinburgh stop. Pavey has built a following of more than a million online and performed for audiences across the globe, so this is a chance to see the new material in the room rather than through a screen.
The show's hook comes from a bit of a twist in his own life: he found out his terminal illness wasn't quite as terminal as he'd been led to believe. That left him with a lot more time than he'd planned to think about everything that scares him, and he says the list is long. It's the kind of premise that could easily lean one way, but the show has already picked up four stars from The Age.
It's a full hour of new stand-up, so you'll be seeing the set as it's being toured. The Stand is a proper comedy room, and this is a solo show with Pavey as the only name on the bill.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts at 20:00, running for about 100 minutes. Tickets start from £9. One thing to keep in mind: The Stand is strictly over-18s, so don't bring anyone under that age along. You can find it at 5 York Place in Edinburgh New Town, EH1 3EB.
