BetVictor Scottish Open, a stop on the World Snooker Tour and part of the BetVictor Home Nations Series, held at the Meadowbank Centre.
The BetVictor Scottish Open returns to the Meadowbank Centre on Sunday 14 December, bringing the World Snooker Tour back to Edinburgh for another stop on the professional circuit. It's part of the BetVictor Home Nations Series, a run of tournaments that takes the tour across the home nations, and the Meadowbank Centre has become a regular home for the Scottish leg of that series.
This year's line-up brings together some of the biggest names in the game. Wu Yize, Judd Trump and Zhao Xintong are among the stars confirmed to compete, and the draw puts them in the same field. It's a professional event, so you'll see the top players from the tour going head-to-head over several days of competition.
To give you a sense of the company they're in, last year's final was won by Chris Wakelin, who beat Chang Bingyu after coming through a field that included all-time greats like John Higgins, Stephen Maguire, Shaun Murphy, Mark Williams, Neil Robertson and Mark Selby. That's the kind of depth you can expect here: a mix of the established names who've defined the sport for years and the newer players fighting their way up the rankings.
