Free Creative Edinburgh meetup for creative freelancers to meet other creatives and explore the National Library of Scotland's spaces and resources.
Behind the Shelves is at the National Library of Scotland on Tuesday 3 November, from 10 am to 12 pm. It's a two-hour session that takes you behind the scenes of the library, where you'll meet other creatives and get a look at the spaces, resources, services and support available to help with your creative practice. If you've spent time in the reading rooms but haven't really seen how the place works from the inside, this is that side of things.
The session is part of Creative Circles, a monthly meetup of creative conversations, socialising and community updates run by Creative Edinburgh for creative freelancers who want to learn, grow and connect. Creative Edinburgh is a registered Scottish charity (SC042838) supported by Creative Scotland, and the whole series is sponsored by Techscaler, a Scottish Government-funded programme delivered by CodeBase. It's one of those regular things that gives you a reason to get out of the studio or the home office and actually talk to other people doing similar work.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Edinburgh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Because it's a behind-the-scenes look, capacity is strictly limited, so it's worth getting your place sorted sooner rather than later. There's no BSL interpreter present. It's free to attend, and it runs from 10 am to 12 pm on Tuesday 3 November at the National Library of Scotland on George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EW.
