Festive after-work evening where artist Eve Tong guides adults through painting two Christmas baubles to take home.
Eve Tong is running a bauble painting class at Malones Leith on Tuesday 1 December, from 6 pm to 8 pm. It's a two-hour session, and doors open at 5:50 pm, so there's a bit of time to settle in before things get started. The class is for ages 18 and over.
Tong is a local artist, and she'll be leading the whole thing, walking everyone through the simple tips and tricks you'll need to get your baubles looking right. By the end of the night, you'll have painted two baubles to take home and hang on your own tree. It's billed as a festive, social class, and it's as much about catching up with friends as it is about the making—the kind of thing that works just as well as a proper night out as it does as a bit of Christmas prep.
That social side is built right into the evening: it's pitched as a fun after-work session, and the bar serves food and drink throughout, so you can keep a drink in hand while you work. If you're not usually one for crafts, that's the point of the tips and tricks—you don't need to come in with any particular skill to get something you're happy with.
