Hands-on craft workshop with Polymorphics to make an eco-resin pumpkin jar to store trinkets, sweets or a candle.
Polymorphics are running an Autumnal Pumpkin Storage Dish workshop at We Make Edinburgh on Saturday 31 October. It's a hands-on craft class where you make your own jar to store trinkets, sweets or a candle, or just to leave as a seasonal decoration. The session is run by Lucy, the designer and tutor behind Polymorphics, who specialises in experimenting with materials and holds eco-resin workshops casting jewellery and homeware.
Lucy and Amy have been running creative workshops at We Make Edinburgh's Abbeyhill studio since 2019. Amy also runs The Edinburgh Craft Club, which specialises in independent craft workshops across Scotland. Between the two of them, they've built up a steady presence in the city's making scene, and this pumpkin jar fits right into that mix of one-off seasonal projects and regular craft sessions.
The studio itself does more than just these open workshops. They offer private craft party workshops and one-to-one sessions for adults and children, alongside team-building activities and craft parties for children's birthdays, hen parties, weddings and family gatherings. So if you're into this kind of thing, there's plenty more to go on there beyond a single Saturday afternoon.

The workshop is on 31 October at We Make Edinburgh, 18 Montrose Terrace, Abbeyhill, Edinburgh East EH7 5DL. You'll leave with your own pumpkin storage dish, whether you use it for sweets, trinkets, a candle or just as a bit of autumn decor.
