Annex: Afterglow

ANNEX are bringing their late-night session, Afterglow, to Cabaret Voltaire on Thursday 5 November. It's a proper late one, starting at 23:00 and running right through into Friday morning, so you'll want to clear your Friday schedule if you're planning on staying for the whole thing.

The night moves across hard house, garage and tech house, blending fast-paced grooves, weighty basslines and rolling rhythms. The organisers describe it as being about reading the room and keeping the dancefloor active, pairing tech and hard house royalty with a string of garage legends. It's a broad stretch of dance music, so the sound should shift as the night goes on.

That's reflected in the line-up, which brings together eight names across the board: Morgan Seatree, Dart, DJ Heartstring, KETTAMA, Interplanetary Criminal, Sammy Virgi, Silva Bumpa and Soul Mass Transit System. With that many DJs on the bill, there's plenty of room for the night to evolve from the first drop at 11pm through to the early hours.

Cabaret Voltaire is at 36 Blair Street, EH1 1QR, right in the heart of the city. Tickets start from £4.00, and with the 23:00 start, it's a night that's built for the late crowd.
