Halloween ceilidh with the Annasach Ceilidh Band and dance caller Tricia, with a costume prize and a drink with every ticket.
Annasach are taking over The Counting House on Saturday 31 October for a Halloween ceilidh. It's a night of traditional Scottish music and dancing in the Old Town, with the Annasach Ceilidh Band on the music and Tricia calling the dances.
If you've never been to a ceilidh, the caller is the person who makes it work. Tricia works the room, calling out the steps as you go so that beginners can get stuck in alongside the more experienced dancers. You don't need to know any of the dances beforehand to join in.
It's billed as a 'spooktacular ceilidh', and fancy dress is encouraged, with a prize for the best costume. Every ticket also comes with a complimentary Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky or a soft drink, served before the dancing starts. The Counting House is tucked away in the Old Town at 36 West Nicolson Street, EH8 9DD.
