Weekly electronic music DJ battle featuring BROTHA NATURE, DoctorLawyerPresident, Edy Ferale and Interstellar, with open decks in The Lounge.
BROTHA NATURE headlines the latest Sub Mission Electronic Tuesday at The Black Box on Tuesday, October 13. It's part of a weekly DJ battle that runs four hours, and the lineup for the night includes DoctorLawyerPresident, Edy Ferale, and Interstellar.
The Black Box is a Denver club that opened in 2016, and it spreads its floor across two rooms, a bar, a patio, and a pool table. The sound system is substantial: the main room carries four Tannoy IQ10C, four Funktion-One F215 MK2, and eight 21-inch Othorn subwoofers, while The Lounge runs two Tannoy IQ10/15, two Tannoy V12, and four 21-inch Othorn. The night is built as a weekly DJ battle, and the second room keeps open decks for anyone who wants to step up and play.
That open-deck setup is a big part of the night. While the main room handles the scheduled DJs, The Lounge stays open for whoever wants to get behind the decks, so you can spend as much time listening as you do playing. It's a good way to hear a few different hands on the wheels in one evening.
