Slothrust

Slothrust play the Gothic Theatre on Sunday, November 8, at 8 PM. The Boston trio is touring The Pact, their latest album, which they recorded in Los Angeles with producer and mixer Billy Bush.

Slothrust is the project of principal songwriter, singer, and guitarist Leah Wellbaum, with drummer Will Gorin and bassist Kyle Bann. They describe their sound as classically informed, soulful rock built on striking contrasts, and it's carried them through four full-length albums: their debut Feels Your Pain in 2012, Of Course You Do in 2014, their 2016 Dangerbird debut Everyone Else, and The Pact.

If the name doesn't ring a bell, you might recognize their song "7:30 am," which served as the theme for the FX series You're The Worst. Their live history runs from sold-out headline shows to festival appearances and support slots for Highly Suspect in the US and Manchester Orchestra in Europe. They also show their range with the covers EP Show Me How You Want It To Be, where they reimagined songs by artists as varied as Al Green, Britney Spears, Black Sabbath, and Louis Armstrong.

Tickets are $53, and the show starts at 8 PM on Sunday, November 8, at the Gothic Theatre, 3263 South Broadway, Denver, CO 80110.
