Two-day festival of Goth, post-punk and dark electronic bands, headlined by Night Club, at ReelWorks Denver.
Ritual Noize Fest takes over ReelWorks Denver on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6, 2027. It's a two-day festival of goth, post-punk, and dark electronic bands, and the lineup is deep enough that you could easily spend the whole weekend there.
Headlining Saturday is Night Club, the electro-goth duo of Emily Kavanaugh and Mark Brooks from Los Angeles. They've been around since 2012 and scored the animated series Moonbeam City for Comedy Central in 2015. Their 2016 LP Requiem for Romance came before they toured with industrial acts Lords of Acid and Combichrist in 2017, and they opened for A Perfect Circle in 2018. Their 2020 record Die Die Lullaby was co-mixed by Dave 'Rave' Ogilvie, who's worked with Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, and Marilyn Manson.
Also from Los Angeles is Forever Grey, whose sound draws heavily from the post-punk and darkwave of the late 1970s and early 1980s. They started with five cassettes in 2015, collected as the album Boundaries, followed by Autumn Calling in 2016 on the New York label Prime Ruin. After that, they self-released Alabaster Chamber (2016), Departed (2020), and Sympathy Garden (2022), the latter pressed to vinyl by the German label Young & Cold Records.
