Our Lady Peace performs on their 30th Anniversary Tour with special guest The Verve Pipe at Summit Music Hall.
Our Lady Peace play Summit Music Hall on Tuesday, October 13, with The Verve Pipe opening. The Denver date is part of the band's 30th Anniversary Tour, a run that marks three decades since they first started out.
If you're not familiar with them, Our Lady Peace is one of Canada's most successful rock acts. They've sold over 5 million albums worldwide and picked up four JUNO Awards along the way. They're also one of the most awarded artists by the Much Music Video Awards, with ten MMVAs to their name. The current lineup is fronted by Raine Maida, with Duncan Coutts, Steve Mazur and Jason Pierce filling out the band.
There's a bit of a story behind the name, too. They took it from a 1943 poem by the American poet and teacher Mark Van Doren, written long before rock'n'roll was even a thing. It's a small detail, but it gives you a sense of where they're coming fromβa band that looks back as much as it looks forward.
