Evening trail run in the Denver foothills, lasting 60-75 minutes, with dinner afterwards.
Denver Trail Runners are heading back to the Foothills trailheads on Thursday, October 15, for their Thursday Evening Run. The group meets at 6:15 PM, and the run itself lasts about 60 to 75 minutes. It's a free run, and the whole thing is staged by the club for people who've grown bored of pavement.
If you're used to the city's paved paths, this is a good way to get off them. The run takes place on the trails of the foothills, and once the running is done, the group heads out for dinner together. It's as much about the meal afterward as it is about the miles.
This is just one part of what the club does. They also host a Sunday Long Run, which usually kicks off around 7 or 8 AM and goes for an hour and a half to two hours — that one is for the runners who treat Sunday as a training day. And on Tuesday nights, there's a Social Run at Ratio Beerworks for when you're in the mood for a beer more than a workout.
