Post-hardcore band Wolves At The Gate perform at AM/FM Dallas as part of Demon Hunter's Bloodlines: Storm the Gates of Hell 20th Anniversary Tour.
Wolves At The Gate play AM/FM Dallas on Friday, October 9, as part of Demon Hunter's Bloodlines: Storm the Gates of Hell 20th Anniversary Tour. They're sharing the bill with Demon Hunter and Bloodlines, so it's a full night of post-hardcore and metal rather than a single act.
Wolves At The Gate are a post-hardcore band from Columbus, Ohio, and they've been at it since 2008. The current lineup is guitarist and vocalist Steve Cobucci, vocalist Colin Jones, bassist Ben Summers, guitarist Jeremy Steckel, and drummer Ben Millhouse. Before they settled on the name, they played as Goodnight Doctor—a phrase Cobucci's father used whenever he hurt himself. They eventually switched to Wolves At The Gate, a biblical reference taken from Acts 20:24-32.
One of the stories that sticks with them is how they put together the We Are The Ones EP. The closing track, "Oh The Depths," features more than 30 unsolicited gang vocals from fans who answered the band's call to sing on the record. The EP was later re-released through Solid State Records.
