Wine Down Wednesday

Wine Down Wednesday is the weekly happy hour at Pegasus Pizza, inside the Omni Dallas Hotel at 555 S Lamar (665 Lamar Street #120), and it runs every Wednesday from 4 PM to 7 PM. It's built around the simple idea of unwinding midweek with wine and pizza in a laid-back atmosphere, so it works just as well for a quick drink after work as it does for a longer sit-down with friends.

Pegasus Pizza does Neapolitan-style 12-inch pizzas. The menu covers the classics—Margherita, Pepperoni, Sausage, and Carne with sopressata—alongside a few more adventurous options like BBQ Brisket, Garden, and Buffalo Chicken. If you're not in the mood for a whole pie, they also serve individual slices.

The wine program is a big part of the draw here. They run a full bar with six wines on tap and ten more by the glass, so there's plenty to choose from whether you want something light or something with a bit more weight. It's the kind of setup where you can easily sample a few different pours over the course of the afternoon.

On the food side, the happy hour pricing keeps things straightforward: $6 pizza slices in pepperoni or four cheese, $10 glasses of wine, $10 fried mozzarella cheese with marinara dipping sauce, and $13 whole pizzas. With the 4 PM to 7 PM window, you've got a good stretch of time to settle in and pick your spot.
