Post-hardcore and alternative metal band Wind Walkers perform live at Puzzles Deep Ellum.
Wind Walkers play Puzzles Deep Ellum on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. They're coming in from the central Massachusetts music scene, where they've spent their time carving out a spot in the post-hardcore and alternative metal world. If you're not familiar with them, that's exactly where they sit: right in the middle of those two sounds, with the heavy, driving side of metal and the melodic, vocal-forward side of post-hardcore pulling at the same time.
The lineup is a five-piece. Timothy Comeau and Neil Comeau handle the guitars, Craig Martin is on bass, and Ethan Cheesman is on drums. Trevor Borg is the vocalist, and his arrival was a turning point for the band—the kind of change that shifts how a group sounds and where they go from there. With Borg in place, the band's sound has leaned into the vocal side of the equation, and that's a good part of what they're known for.
They describe their approach as an unapologetic commitment to authenticity, and that's a fair way to put it. There's nothing polished or smoothed over here; it's music that doesn't try to hide its edges. Between the two guitars and the rhythm section, they build a wall of sound that Borg sings over, and that's the core of what they do. If you've spent any time with post-hardcore or alternative metal, you'll recognize the territory they're working in.
