Vincent Lima and Amble

Vincent Lima plays The Echo Lounge & Music Hall on Wednesday, November 18, with Amble opening the bill. It's a mid-week show, so it's one of those nights that asks you to trade a Wednesday evening at home for a night out in the city.

Lima is the main draw here, and he's not coming alone. Amble takes the stage first, setting the table for Lima's set. Between the two of them, you've got two acts in one night, which makes it a full evening rather than just a single performance. If you're already out and about in Dallas that night, it's an easy one to slot in.

As for Lima himself, there's a detail in his description that's worth noting: he's called a zero-time Grammy winning artist. It's a bit of a play on words—it tells you exactly where he stands with the awards, and it gives you a sense of how he's positioning himself. It's a dry way of saying he hasn't taken home a trophy yet, and it's the kind of detail that sticks in your head more than a standard bio ever would.

The show is at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall, 1323 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207. It starts at 7 PM, so you'll be in your seat and hearing Amble before the night gets too late. If you're planning to head over, that's the time to keep in mind.
