He's a Billboard #1 chart-topping saxophonist and a Soul Train Award nominee for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance, and he's one of the most successful independent artists in contemporary jazz, with more than 14 albums to his name. One of those is LEGACY, a live-in-studio project.
Andrew was born and raised in New Orleans, so he grew up immersed in the city's jazz culture. That background sits right at the center of his sound, but he pulls from a wide range of influences: R&B greats like Anita Baker and Chaka Khan, hip-hop, and Erykah Badu. The result is contemporary jazz that doesn't stay in one lane, blending the New Orleans tradition with a more modern, soulful edge.
