UNT faces off against South Florida for a Friday night Greek Night volleyball match at the UNT Volleyball Center.
UNT Volleyball takes on South Florida at the UNT Volleyball Center on Friday, October 9, 2026. It's a home match for the Mean Green, and it's being billed as Greek Night, so you can expect the student section to be out in force for this one. If you've been following the season, this is one of those Friday night matchups that usually brings a good crowd to the stands.
For those who aren't deep into the college volleyball scene, the setup is pretty straightforward: two teams, six players on each side of the net, and a match that goes to best-of-five sets. The home-court advantage is a real thing in this sport, and with the Greek Night theme, the atmosphere at the UNT Volleyball Center should be louder than your average weekday game. It's the kind of match that's easy to get into even if you're just coming for the energy of the crowd.
South Florida is making the trip in from Florida, so it's a cross-regional matchup. When a team travels that far, the home crowd usually plays a big part in the momentum, and the Greek Night designation means the student organizations will be showing up to cheer on the Mean Green. Between the travel distance for the visitors and the local support, it's a match that should have a distinct home-court feel to it.
