They Might Be Giants celebrate the 30th anniversary of their platinum album Flood with a live performance.
They Might Be Giants play The Echo Lounge & Music Hall on Friday, November 13, 2026. The show is part of a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Flood, the platinum album that helped bring them to a wider audience.
If you're not familiar with the name, the band is led by brothers John Flansburgh and John Linnell, who've been writing songs together since before they even started playing as a duo in 1982. They got their start with Dial-A-Song, a service run from a single phone machine in their Brooklyn apartments, and have since put out 22 albums, along with dozens of EPs and compilations. They've also spent years working in television, writing themes and incidental music for a long list of shows and ad campaigns. Their cover of "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" was animated for Steven Spielberg's Tiny Toon Adventures, and "Boss of Me" from Malcolm in the Middle won them a Grammy. They picked up another Grammy for the 2008 kids' album Here Come the 123s, and a third for "Particle Man." They even earned a Tony nomination for their work on SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.
On stage, the Johns are backed by longtime members Dan Miller, Danny Weinkauf, and Marty Beller. They're known for pulling knotty cuts from their catalog and for the banter the two brothers trade between songs. This particular tour is built around Flood, so expect to hear that record front and center.
