The Last Bandoleros

The Last Bandoleros are closing out the State Fair of Texas on Sunday, October 18, at the Chevrolet Main Stage. The show starts at 4 PM, and since it's the final performance of the fair, it's a good way to wrap up the whole run.

The band is a San Antonio trio fronted by Jerry Fuentes, Diego Navaira, and Emilio Navaira. They call their sound 'Tex Flex'—a blend of Tex-Mex, Latin music, and modern sonics. If you're not familiar with them, that's a pretty fair description: the roots are in the Tex-Mex and Latin traditions, but they bring in a contemporary production that keeps it from feeling like a throwback. It's music that fits right into the mix of things you'll hear across North Texas.

Their set is the finale of the 2026 State Fair of Texas, which runs for 24 days under the theme 'Stars, Stripes and Howdies.' This year's fair commemorates the 250th birthday of the United States and the 140th anniversary of the Fair itself. The Chevrolet Main Stage has moved to the historic Fair Park Coliseum for 2026, and the fair has added 'Little Lone Stars Land,' an area dedicated to the youngest fairgoers. Every night, the Starlight Parade winds around the fairgrounds at 7:15 PM, followed by the Illumination Sensation, a synchronized pyrotechnics and special-effects show over the reflecting pool on the Esplanade.

Admission to the fair is $15 for adults ages 13-59 on weekdays and $25 on weekends, with children ages 3-12 at $10 every day and kids 2 and under free. From Monday through Thursday, everyone gets in for $10 after 5 PM. Parking is $20. The Last Bandoleros take the stage at 4 PM on Sunday, October 18, at the Chevrolet Main Stage in Fair Park.
