A live concert celebrating beloved Carpenters classics with a full band and storytelling, featuring Christina Hélène Braa.
The Carpenters Songbook comes to The Majestic Theatre on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 7:30 PM. It's a live celebration of the Carpenters' soft-rock classics, with Christina Hélène Braa leading the way and a full band backing her. The whole thing is built around Braa's recreation of Karen Carpenter's distinctive contralto, and she'll be singing the duo's most well-known songs with a full live band that brings back their signature harmonies.
Between the songs, the show weaves in the stories behind the music, and there are moments when the audience is invited to sing along. You'll hear the ones most people know by heart—'We've Only Just Begun,' 'Close to You,' 'Top of the World,' and 'Rainy Days and Mondays' are among the titles on the set. It's an all-new production from the same creative team behind The Simon & Garfunkel Story.
For those who want a bit more, there's a VIP experience. It puts you in the first ten rows of the Orchestra Center and adds a private 20-minute acoustic set and a meet-and-greet with the lead performers. The venue is The Majestic Theatre, a historic Renaissance Revival theater in downtown Dallas at 1925 Elm St, built in 1921 with 1,704 seats.
