NBA G League basketball match between the Texas Legends and the Oklahoma City Blue.
Texas Legends take on the Oklahoma City Blue at the Texas Legends home arena in Dallas on Monday, January 18. It's a home game for the Legends, who are the NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks and position themselves as a source of family-friendly entertainment for North Texas.
To get a sense of where this fits in the season, it helps to know how the G League works. The 2026-27 season is split into two parts: every team plays 14 games in the Tip-Off Tournament before moving into a 36-game regular season. From there, the top eight teams in each conference advance to the NBA G League Playoffs, and the whole thing wraps up with the NBA G League Finals in April 2027. This matchup is one of the stops along that road.

If you're not already familiar, the Legends are the Mavericks' G League team, which means they're part of the same organization and the same basketball pipeline. The game tips off at 3 PM local time, so it's a mid-afternoon start rather than a typical night game. If you're planning to head out, that's the detail to keep in mind—it's a Monday afternoon in Dallas, not a Monday night.
