Gastronomic tasting party with cuisine from restaurants along the M-Line Trolley route, featuring an open bar, valet, live band and auctions.
Taste of the Trolley returns to the Fashion Industry Gallery on Thursday, October 15, from 6 to 10 PM. It's the annual tasting party and fundraiser run by the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority, the agency that keeps the M-Line running through Uptown.
The whole night is built around the trolley route. You'll find bites from restaurants along the line, with Fen Shui Asian Cuisine, Las Palmas, Malai Kitchen, North Italia, Perry's Steakhouse, San Martin Bakery & Restaurant, Sixty Vines, S & D Oyster Company, The Capital Grille, The Rustic and Truluck's all represented. It's a good way to sample a dozen different spots in one room rather than spending a whole day hopping from one end of the M-Line to the other.
Beyond the food, there's an open bar and a live band to keep things moving, and the night includes both silent and live auctions. The M-Line is one of those things that feels uniquely Dallas, and the party is built around that same energy. The McKinney Avenue Transit Authority describes it as a uniquely Dallas experience, and it's the main fundraiser they use to keep the trolley on the tracks.
