Taco Tuesday

Café Herrera does Taco Tuesday every Tuesday from 4 PM to 7 PM, and today, October 6, is one of those days. It's tucked inside the Omni Dallas, at 555 S Lamar St., right in the heart of downtown Dallas. If you're already in the area, it's an easy spot to hit for an early dinner or a late-afternoon snack.

The deal is straightforward: tacos are $4 each, or you can bundle them—three for $10 and five for $18. They've also got house margaritas and cervezas on hand to go with them. It's the kind of thing that works as a quick solo stop or as a place to gather a few people before the rest of your evening kicks in.

Café Herrera is one of eleven dining experiences inside the Omni Dallas, a hotel owned by the City of Dallas that sits in the center of a revitalized downtown, next to the Dallas Convention Center. The hotel opened with a ribbon-cutting by Larry Hagman and Linda Gray, stars of the old Dallas television show, and now houses 1,001 guest rooms, including 67 luxury suites and three presidential suites. There's a Mokara Spa, a rooftop terrace pool deck, and a fitness center, and the building meets U.S. Green Building Council LEED Gold Certification standards. Across its 110,000 square feet of meeting space are 39 rooms named after local points of interest and showing work by local artists. On Lamar, the hotel offers eleven dining experiences, among them Bob's Steak & Chop House, Texas Spice, the Owner's Box, and Black Ship Little Katanas, plus a lobby gift shop called Collections.
