5th annual Halloween family festival with music, dance, costume contest, and Dallas Zoo creatures.
Stage Fright: A Halloween Family Festival returns to Sammons Park on Saturday, October 31, from 10 AM to 1 PM. This is the fifth year the AT&T Performing Arts Center has put on this Halloween celebration, and it's part of their larger free public festival series. The Center's president and CEO, Warren Tranquada, describes the series as a tradition and a core strength of the organization, built to give the community spaces to gather and celebrate the arts. This particular edition is presented in partnership with the Dallas Police Department's Office of Community Affairs and is open to all ages.
The lineup is a mix of performances and activities. There's a 'stick-r-treat' activity with the Dallas Police Department and a 'spooky' musical performance by students from Personalized Learning Preparatory at J.W. Ray Learning Center. Choreographer Daunte 'Cheesy' Borner leads a zombie dance lesson, and a DJ dance party keeps things moving. There's a costume contest, a petting zoo, and carnival bites from JBW Vending. You'll also find creepy creatures from the Dallas Zoo and an SPCA of Texas dog adoption van on site.
Stage Fright is one of six free events in the Center's 2026-2027 season. Four of those take place in the Dallas Arts District, with two more held off-site in West Dallas and Oak Cliff as part of the ArtsBridge community engagement programs. The series draws on local arts partners to bring performances, food, and activities to families and neighbors across North Texas.
