A hands-on ceramic making class where participants create their own spooky-themed mug at Vector Brewing, with no prior experience needed.
Vector Brewing in Lake Highlands is hosting a spooky ceramic mug class on Wednesday, October 14, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's run in partnership with Spirit Tree Ceramics, and the whole point is to get your hands dirty with clay and walk away with a mug you made yourself.
Over the course of a couple of hours, you'll work through the process of shaping a ceramic mug from scratch. The class leans into the Halloween season, so the mugs are meant to be spooky, though the organizers make it clear there's no pressure to dress up for it. You don't need any prior experience to join inโit's designed for people who've never touched clay before, so you can just show up and start making.
One of the better parts of the setup is the atmosphere they're going for. They encourage you to bring a friend and enjoy a beer or a coffee while you work, which turns a simple craft class into a social night out. Since it's at Vector Brewing, you've got the brewery side of things right there, so you can sip on something while you figure out exactly how spooky you want your mug to be.
