Interactive, family-friendly exhibition exploring how physics, biology, and technology shape the game of soccer.
Soccer: More Than a Game is open now at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and it's the kind of exhibition that works just as well for a kid's afternoon as it does for a soccer fan. It's a hands-on experience built with Mexico City's Museo Interactivo de EconomĂa (MIDE), which is running a companion exhibition over there, so the two are linked across borders. The whole thing is built around how physics, biology, and technology shape the game, and it doesn't just talk about it—you actually do it.
It walks you through the locker room and the entrance tunnel, with challenges along the way that let you test your reflexes, measure your kicking power, and explore the brain-body connection behind elite performance. Two of the main highlights are the C.L.E.A.T.S. Lab (Coaching Lab for Excellence in Athletics, Technology and Science), presented by Amazon, and The Academy, presented by Verizon. The exhibition was created with the FIFA World Cup 2026 in mind, so it leans into soccer's global reach and its ability to connect different cultures and communities. If you're into the science side of things, there's also a companion display, Minerals of the World Cup, on view in the Lyda Hill Gems and Minerals Hall.
