Concert by the progressive metalcore and industrial rock band Silent Planet at the House of Blues Dallas.
Silent Planet play the House of Blues Dallas on Wednesday, October 28, with the show starting at 7 PM. They're a progressive metalcore band out of California, and their sound sits right at the intersection of industrial rock and metalcore.
Frontman Garrett Russell describes them as a politically conscious and politically motivated act, and they've lived up to that. They played in Ukraine, making them one of the first Western bands to do so since Russia invaded in 2022. In July 2025, they released Wick as part of a campaign to aid children in Ukraine affected by the invasion—a cause Russell has highlighted when talking about the band's drive.
It's a heavy set, but the politics are as much a part of it as the music. If you've been following them, you know that's how they operate. If you haven't, this is a good place to start.
