The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs free, open-air chamber music concerts at Shirley & Bill McIntyre Park.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is back at Shirley & Bill McIntyre Park on Thursday, October 15, with another free chamber music concert. It's part of their ongoing series of open-air performances, and this one runs from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
If you've been following the series, you know the drill: the DSO brings a smaller ensemble out of the concert hall and into the park for an hour of chamber music. It's a different experience from their full orchestral programs—fewer players, more intimate, and entirely outdoors. The music is free and open to the public, so you just show up and listen.
There's a bit of newness this season, too. They've added a cash bar on-site, so you can grab a drink and settle in for the hour. The series is supported by Paula Lambert, and it runs on the third Thursday of each month, except for January and February. That means if you miss this one, the next chance comes around a few weeks later.

One practical thing to keep in mind: these happen rain or shine. If the weather turns, they're still playing, so bring an umbrella or a light jacket if the forecast looks shaky. The concert is free and open to the public, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Shirley & Bill McIntyre Park.
