R&B and neo-soul artist Ravyn Lenae performs live at the House of Blues in Dallas, with support from Nourished By Time.
Ravyn Lenae brings Blue Island to the House of Blues Dallas on Tuesday, October 13, with Nourished By Time opening the bill. The show is billed as Ravyn Lenae Presents: Blue Island, and it's her only Dallas date on this run.
Lenae has built her name on a particular kind of R&B—high, airy vocals set against production that shifts from slow-burn grooves to something a bit more danceable. Blue Island is the project she's touring, and the set is built around it. It's the kind of show where the new material takes center stage, but she still reaches back into her earlier records to fill out the night. If you've followed her since the early singles, you'll recognize the voice; if this is your first time seeing her live, it's a good place to start.
Opening the night is Nourished By Time, who'll set the room before Lenae takes over. Between the two, it's a full evening of R&B and soul, with the support act handling the first half and Lenae taking the rest of the night. The House of Blues is at 2200 N Lamar St in Dallas, right in the heart of the city, so it's an easy trip if you're already downtown or coming from nearby.
