Queensrÿche performs live at the State Fair of Texas, offering a mix of prog-rock, metal and hard rock.
Queensrÿche play the State Fair Of Texas on Wednesday, October 7, as part of the fair's 2026 music schedule. They're the only act on the bill that night, so it's a straight-ahead headlining set.
If you're not familiar with them, the band started in Bellevue, Washington, and first hit the scene in 1982 with a self-titled four-song EP. Their first full-length album, The Warning, came in 1984, followed by Rage For Order in 1986. In 1988 they put out Operation: Mindcrime, which became one of the ten best-selling concept records of all time, and in 1991 Empire earned them multiple Grammy nominations and the MTV viewers' choice award for the hit "Silent Lucidity." They've sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Their sound sits at the intersection of prog-rock, metal, and hard rock, and the current lineup is Mike Stone and Michael Wilton on guitar, Eddie Jackson on bass, Casey Grillo on drums, and Todd La Torre on vocals. It's a full band on stage, and since they're the only act on the bill, the set will be built around their own material.
