Country music legend Pat Green performs at Flag Pole Hill Park, headlining the Oktoberfest festivities in Dallas.
Pat Green headlines Flag Pole Hill Park on Saturday, October 24, closing out a full day of Oktoberfest festivities. He's a San Antonio native and a Texas country mainstay whose career goes back more than two decades. He started playing local bars while attending Texas Tech University, and his 1995 debut, Dancehall Dreamer, launched a run that's seen over 2 million albums sold and more than 200 million career streams. Along the way, he's picked up three Grammy nominations and 13 number-one hits on Texas Radio, with gold-certified albums like Wave on Wave in the mix. He's shared stages with Texas heavyweights like Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson, and at one point even sold out the Houston Astrodome.
Offstage, Green runs the Pat Green Foundation, which supports music education and underdog charities. The show itself is the finale of an Oktoberfest day that kicks off with an ROTC color guard flag posting, followed by a keg tapping and a stein holding contest. If you're coming for the whole day, the music starts well before Green takes the stage. Drew Cooper Music opens from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, and George Dunham and the Bird Dogs follow from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Pat Green then takes over from 8:30 to 10:00 PM, so you can catch the openers and the headliner in one go. Main Stage tickets are $53.
