Concert by Oso Oso, with Bugsy and Liquid Mike, at Puzzles Deep Ellum.
Oso Oso plays Puzzles Deep Ellum on Saturday, November 21, with Bugsy and Liquid Mike opening. It's a full bill for a Saturday night in Deep Ellum, so you'll have two openers to get through before the headliner takes the stage.
If you're not familiar with Oso Oso, they're an act that sits right at the intersection of emo and punk. That's a wide enough stretch to cover a lot of ground—the melodic, confessional side of emo and the faster, louder energy of punk—and they pull from both. It's the kind of sound that fits as well in a basement as it does in a proper venue, and with Bugsy and Liquid Mike on the bill, the whole night stays in that same general neighborhood.
Deep Ellum is the right place for it, too. Puzzles is right in the thick of the district, so it's easy to grab dinner or a drink nearby before the show starts. The lineup is Oso Oso, with Bugsy and Liquid Mike opening, and the music runs from the first opener through to the headliner.
