If you've only heard them through the radio, you probably know "Wagon Wheel," which went double platinum in 2019. But the band started far from the charts, busking on street corners in 1998 and working their way from New York state up through Canada. They caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson in Boone, North Carolina, who invited them to play at his MerleFest, and they've been on the road ever since. Along the way, they've been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and picked up two Grammy Awards: Best Folk Album for Remedy in 2014 and Best Long Form Music Video for Big Easy Express in 2013. Their debut album, O.C.M.S., went gold.
Beyond the stage, they host the Hartland Hootenanny, a YouTube variety show built around music, storytelling and square dancing. That same spirit—roots music played with a rock and roll attitude—is what they're bringing to the Majestic.
