Bavarian-themed evening with bratwurst, German brews, live Texas country music and axe-throwing, presented by the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands.
Oktoberfest Dallas is coming to Flag Pole Hill on Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 10 PM. It's presented by the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands, a nonprofit that's raised more than $1.4 million for scholarships and local causes since 2011. The day pairs live Texas country from local acts with the traditional beer and brats of the season.
If you're new to the city's Oktoberfest scene, it helps to know that the season runs from late September through October and is built around rooftop biergartens, neighborhood pub crawls, and a stein-holding contest with cash on the line. The Flag Pole Hill event is one of several distinct celebrations happening across Dallas this autumn. Downtown, Pegasus City Brewery hosts its own edition, which has carried forward the Big 'D' Jamboree beer release and a ceremonial cask tapping. In Lake Highlands, Hausfest returns for its seventh year with a neighborhood 4K fun run and a weenie dog parade. And over in Oak Cliff, Oaktoberfest brings live Polka and Conjunto music and a ceremonial firkin tapping.

While those other stops lean into the traditional German sounds or the neighborhood side of things, the Flag Pole Hill celebration swaps the Polka for Texas country. The music comes from local acts, and the food and drink stay true to the season: beer and brats. It's a full day, running from 10 AM to 10 PM at Flag Pole Hill, 8015 Doran Circle, Dallas.
