Pop rock band Miniature Tigers perform live at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, with support from Sam Turner and the Cactus Cats.
Miniature Tigers play The Bomb Factory on Wednesday, December 16, as part of their Winter Tour 2026. They're coming in from Lagrange, New York, and they've got support from Sam Turner and the Cactus Cats—also known as Sam and the Catz.
If you're not familiar with them, the band is led by Charlie Brand on vocals and guitar, with Rick Schaier on drums and vocals and Eli Brandom on guitar. Together they make a sound that's tightly harmonious, sometimes synthy and playfully pop-rock, drawing on The Beatles, the Beach Boys and Weezer. It's the kind of music that sits right in that pocket of melodic, guitar-driven pop with a bit of a twist.
That twist shows up in the lyrics. Their first singles, 'Dino Damage' and 'The Wolf', set the tone: fanciful songs filled with Vikings, swashbucklers, gunfighters, cannibals, undersea creatures and dinosaurs. The imagery is colorful, but it's doing work—those figures are metaphors for the ravenous heartbreak that love and relationships can bring. It's a way of talking about the messy side of romance without getting too earnest about it.
