Concert by Kurt Travis, former lead singer of Dance Gavin Dance, at Puzzles Deep Ellum.
Kurt Travis plays Puzzles Deep Ellum on Tuesday, November 10, with the show starting at 7 PM. It's a full bill, not just a solo set: Mella, Resilia, and The Sewing Club open for him, so there are four acts to get through before the night is over.
If you're coming to this knowing Travis mostly from his time in Dance Gavin Dance, you'll find him in a different place here. His solo work pulls from alternative, acoustic, folk, and indie styles, and 2026 has been a busy year for him. He put out the full-length anywhere's better and the EP how could i / same as it's been, so there's a good amount of new material to draw from for a set.
That solo career follows a long run of fronting bands. Before Dance Gavin Dance, he was the lead singer of Five Minute Ride, O! The Joy, and No Not Constant, and he's spent years moving between those different projects. The solo stuff is where he's been focusing lately, and these two releases from this year are the latest additions to that.
