Country troubadour Josh Grider performs an intimate, stripped-down set at the Unity Listening Room inside Community Beer Co., hosted by Brock DeWald.
Josh Grider plays the Unity Listening Room at Community Beer Co. on Sunday, October 18, as part of their Fireside Sessions. The night is hosted by Brock DeWald, and the music runs from 6 PM to 9 PM, with doors opening at 5 PM.
Grider is a Texas-by-way-of-New-Mexico troubadour who's spent nearly two decades on the road. He does things on his own terms: he writes his own songs, books his own gigs, and releases his albums independently. He's known as a poet of optimism and maturity, with songs like "Country's Comin' Back" and "American Anthem" as part of his catalog. Over the years, he's played the Kerrville Folk Festival, Southwest honky tonks, house concerts, and "rock yachts," and he continues to mentor and produce emerging Texas talent, including Gunnar Latham. He's also written for artists like Braxton Keith, Willie Tate, and Justin Schools.
Beyond his solo work, Grider records and performs with his longtime friend Drew Kennedy as the Topo Chico Cowboys, with the Red River Songwriters collective, and in a duo with his wife, Kristi. The Unity Listening Room, inside Community Beer Co., is built around bringing audiences closer to artists and the stories behind their songs, with original songwriting and stripped-down performances at the fore.
