I Set My Friends on Fire

I Set My Friends on Fire play Puzzles Deep Ellum on Friday, November 20, with Set To Stun and Current Comfort opening. The Miami band is touring their second album, Astral Rejection, which came out June 21 on Epitaph Records. It's their first full-length since their 2007 debut, You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, so there's a fair bit of ground to cover between the two.

If you're coming from the early stuff, Astral Rejection is the new material they'll be leaning on, and it's been out long enough that you can get familiar with it before the show. The set will pull from that and the older record, and with Set To Stun and Current Comfort on the bill, it's a full night of music rather than just a single act.

Puzzles Deep Ellum is a new live music venue and event space in the heart of Deep Ellum, taking over the former Quixotic World space. The goal is to bring more live music to one of Dallas' most famous event spaces, and this is one of the shows they're booking. It's at 2824 Main Street, right in the middle of the neighborhood.

Tickets are $23 to $28, and all Puzzles Deep Ellum events are sold through Eventim, not through AXS, Ticketmaster or other resale sites. The show starts at 7 PM on Friday, November 20.
