A free, family-friendly evening of poetry readings by Immanuel A. Garcia and Veronica Pamindanan, followed by an open mic, with a kid-friendly atmosphere.
Tre Stelle Coffee Co. hosts a free poetry night on Saturday, October 24, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's part of Gathered Voices DFW, presented by ArtsUmoja and organized by Janny Chang with Kamilah Valentin Diaz as co-organizer. The evening is built around the theme Borders and Belonging, and it's meant to bring neighbors together for poetry, creativity, and community connection.
The night opens with readings by Immanuel A. Garcia and Veronica Pamindanan. After they've had their say, the floor opens up to an open mic, so you can share your own work if you've got something you've been wanting to read out loud. The organizers describe the atmosphere as kid-friendly and welcoming to everyone—longtime poets and first-time performers alike—with the open mic as a space to celebrate local voices.
