A pop concert celebrating the work of Lin-Manuel Miranda, performed by Mandy Gonzalez with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Mandy Gonzalez brings a tribute to Lin-Manuel Miranda to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center from March 19 to 21, 2027. She'll be backed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Enrico Lopez-Yañez. The program runs through Miranda's Hamilton, Moana, and Encanto.
Gonzalez is one of Miranda's earliest and closest collaborators, and she originated roles in both In the Heights and Hamilton. A California native born in Valencia and raised in Saugus, she's starred on Broadway in Aida, In the Heights, Wicked, and Hamilton, and released the solo EP Fearless in 2017. The concert is a look at Miranda's work through her voice, and since she was in the room for some of his biggest hits, she's a natural fit to lead this one.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1900, is the largest performing arts organization in the Southwest. Under Music Director Fabio Luisi, it stages more than 150 concerts a year at the Meyerson, with another 200 chamber concerts across the city. For this run, they'll be providing the orchestral backing for Gonzalez as she works through the songs.
