Concert by the post-hardcore and hard rock band Escape the Fate at the House of Blues Dallas.
Escape the Fate are playing the House of Blues Dallas on Thursday, November 5, with the show starting at 6 PM. They're a post-hardcore and hard rock band from Las Vegas, though they actually formed in Pahrump, Nevada, back in 2005 around frontman Craig Mabbitt.
Their start came from a demo and a radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance, which landed them a support slot with Alkaline Trio and a record deal with Epitaph. Their debut album, Dying is Your Latest Fashion, reached the top 20 of Billboard's Heatseeker and Top Independent Albums charts. After original singer Ronnie Radke left, Mabbitt took over on vocals, and the band broke through in the metalcore scene with 2008's This War is Ours. Their 2011 self-titled album hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart.
Over the years they've toured with Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Papa Roach, and Hollywood Undead, and they've played multiple Vans Warped Tours. The current lineup has been together for roughly a decade, and they're known for high-energy live shows with wall-of-death mosh pits.
