Metalcore band Enthronement performs at the Ruins in Dallas, supporting headliner Fervence.
Fervence are playing Ruins on Friday, October 16, with Enthronement on the bill. It's a Texas-based progressive metalcore quintet, and the night falls right as they're putting out their new record, Constructs, on Metal Blade Records.
If you haven't kept track of them, the band started in 2019 as a solo project for founding guitarist Trent Odneal, back when he was in Reno, Nevada. They put out their debut full-length, Ghost, in 2020, and that record drew from Deftones, Architects, and Silent Planet. They reemerged in 2023 with vocalist Stevie B. at the helm, and the whole group eventually made their way to Austin. From there, they spent 2025 working on Constructs, which is their debut for Metal Blade.
Odneal produced the new album alongside guitarist Austin Bentley, with Zack Ohren handling the mixing and mastering. The artwork is 3D, done by Billelis. Lyrically, the record stays in personal territory—life, death, emotion, and relationships—and the sound is built around the way it moves between sheer aggression and poignant vulnerability. That's the core of what they do: the heavy parts and the quiet ones sitting side by side.
