Metalcore band Downswing performs live at Puzzles Deep Ellum as part of the Born of Osiris 'The Perpetual Iron Tour'.
Downswing are playing Puzzles Deep Ellum on Sunday, November 29, as part of a larger tour that brings a full metalcore bill through Dallas. They're one of the opening acts on the night, sharing the stage with Miss May I, Convictions, and the headliners, Born Of Osiris.
The whole run is called The Perpetual Iron Tour, a Fall/Winter U.S. headlining tour for Born Of Osiris. The occasion is the 15th anniversary of their album The Discovery, and the band has said that songs from that record are returning to the set list for this run. If you've followed them since the early days, that's the part of the night to look for.
There's a bit of a first here, too: Born Of Osiris noted that this is their first-ever tour with Miss May I, so the two are sharing a stage for the first time. With Downswing and Convictions filling out the rest of the bill, it's a full night of metalcore from start to finish rather than a single act with a couple of openers. The Dallas stop falls on a Sunday, so it's a weekend show.
