Electronic music performance by Dodge & Fuski with support from Tokyo Machine at SILO Dallas.
Dodge & Fuski play SILO Dallas on Thursday, October 15, with Tokyo Machine on the bill. The show starts at 9 PM at 1340 Manufacturing St, in the Design District.
If you're not familiar with the name, Dodge & Fuski is the project of Rob, co-founder of the bass music label Disciple. He's been at this for a while, first signing to Never Say Die back in 2011 and touring North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia since then. Over the last year, he's put together a string of Beatport #1 singles, including collaborations with 12th Planet, Virtual Riot, and Barely Alive, along with remixes for Getter, Datsik, and others. Throughout all that, he's kept the quirky influences that have been a mainstay of the D&F sound from the start.
On stage, the set blends arcade-inspired, upbeat electronic tunes with bass-forward club sounds. It's a mix of the bright, melodic side of bass music and the heavier, floor-filling stuff, and Tokyo Machine joins in to round out the night. The whole thing is billed as a snapshot of Dallas's growing electronic music scene and the international reach of the artists involved.
