A first-of-its-kind celebration of DIY creativity with hands-on workshops, live panels with TV stars, and brand experiences across home improvement and crafting.
DIY CON takes over Centennial Hall at Fair Park from Friday, November 6, through Sunday, November 8, with sessions starting at 10 AM each day. It's a three-day festival built around home improvement, décor, woodworking, crafting, and outdoor living, and it's set up as a hands-on experience rather than a trade show you just walk through. You can join workshops across three skill levels, try out tools from brands like IKEA, Leviton, Rockler, and Cricut, and catch live panels and presentations from the creators who have spent years building their followings online.
The main stage brings in some familiar faces from HGTV. Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt of 100 Day Dream Home and Ty Pennington of Rock the Block appear on Friday, alongside Mr. Kate. Saturday belongs to the Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, and DadSocial's Mason Smith, who also returns on Sunday. Chelsea and Cole DeBoer round out the weekend on Sunday. Between the big names, there's a beer garden with live music and a Kids Zone for younger makers to get their hands dirty.
Behind the scenes, the festival is produced by RX—the same team behind New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, PAX, Florida Supercon, and BookCon—with Apartment Therapy as the official media partner. They describe it as a first-of-its-kind celebration of all things DIY, where makers of all skill levels build real projects alongside the creators shaping today's DIY culture.
