The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs John Debney's score live to the film, conducted by Jacob Joyce, as part of the Movies in Concert series.
Disney's Hocus Pocus in Concert Live to Film runs at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center from Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs John Debney's score live to the movie, conducted by Jacob Joyce. It's part of the orchestra's 2026/27 'Movies in Concert' series, which brings films to the stage alongside the season's classical, contemporary, and holiday programming.
If you've seen the movie, you know the story: the Sanderson sisters, three 17th-century witches, are accidentally conjured on Halloween night in modern-day Salem. They plot to steal the life essence of the town's children, only to be outwitted by three prankster kids and aided by Thackery Binx, the immortal feline. The orchestra plays Debney's score note for note while the film runs on a massive screen above the stage, in a presentation officially licensed by Disney Concerts.
