Country and folk singer-songwriter Dean Ray performs at the Old Mill Inn Stage during the State Fair of Texas.
Dean Ray plays the Old Mill Inn Stage at the State Fair of Texas on Friday, October 9. He's a country and folk singer-songwriter, and this is one of the many musical acts scheduled across the fairgrounds during the run.
If you're not familiar, Ray works in that country-folk crossover where the songwriting takes center stage. It's the kind of set that fits right into the fair's atmosphere—acoustic-leaning and rooted in the tradition of the singer-songwriter. He'll be performing as part of the fair's music programming, so the show is one stop among the exhibits and attractions that make up the State Fair of Texas.
The Old Mill Inn Stage is one of the spots where the fair hosts its live music throughout the season, and Ray is the main feature for this particular date. Since it's part of the larger fair, you can work the concert into a full day of walking the grounds, with the music as one of the things to see while you're there.
